We had a great Halloween! Gabe was "The Red Spiderman" and Ryan was "The Black Spiderman". Kate was a ladybug. She was so cute in her red and black tutu and her red hat. She hated the hat though. She screamed everytime I put it on her. I only got a few pictures of her in the hat. She loved looking at her Aunt NeeNee. We went trick or treating with Kylie, Maddie, K-Bub, Zach, NeeNee, Kimmie, Meme, and Papa. The boys had a blast. They ran all the way around my parent's neighborhood. It was a fun night, the boys got tons of candy.

Spiderman!

Last night we went to Jump Zone to meet Spiderman and Batman. The boys had lots of fun running around. When Batman and Spiderman came out Ryan was just mesmerized. Batman was really good about letting the kids take pictures. Spiderman on the other hand was a little hyper. He kept running all over the place and wouldn't slow down. Ryan kept chasing him around trying to say hi. We finally got him to stop for a second to take a picture. While we were taking this picture some random kid jumped in the picture and I cut off Spiderman's head. Oh well! They had lots of fun though.
And here's just a random picture Kate, just had to include her in this post too!

Happy Birthday, Ryan

Ryan turned 3 this week!  I can't believe my baby boy is growing up so fast!  He's turning into such a little man.  Here are just a few of Ryan's favorite things to do right now...
He loves playing football.  He'll put on his OU helmet and run all around the front yard.  He'll even pretend someone is tackling him and fall on the ground and roll around.
He also likes wrestling with his dad and Gabe.  He can be so rough at times.  Once he gets a hold of Gabe he doesn't let go.
For being such a "rough and tumble" little guy he can also be so sweet.  He's got such good manners.  He always says please and thank you.  And he can be so loving.  Some nights after a long day he just comes up to me and says, "Mama, can I sit in your lap?" in his cute little Ryan voice.
As most of you know he's really into Spiderman.  He likes to "web" people too.  If you don't know what that is you'll just have to ask him to do it for you.  I haven't been able to get a picture of it yet, but it's pretty cute.  In just the last couple weeks he's been getting into Iron Man too.  So he's really into the superheroes right now.
He's also a pretty good little fibber.  He's go
od at blaming things on Gabe or saying, "I didn't do it!"
Today we had a birthday party for Ryan at Gametime.  It was lots of fun.  It started out being a sports themed party.  I made these cute little invitations.  Well when it came time to pick out the cake, Ryan insisted on getting a spiderman cake.  So we got the spiderman cake.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I like keeping my parties all in the same theme, so this was hard for me.  But I got over it and Ryan loved his cake.  So we had a sports/spiderman birthday party.

Here are some old pictures of Ryan over the years...

Pictures of Kate's Room

Here are a few pictures of Kate's room.  It's still a work in progress, we still need to add pictures and make it feel a little more "homey".  But all we do in that room is change her diaper and get her dressed, she doesn't even sleep in there so I don't feel too bad that it's not completed yet.

This is a picture the boys painted for Kate.  They love painting and I think it turned out really cute!

I thought it was neat that I have a picture of Gabe doing this for both Kate and Ryan.

Look at how little he was!

Baby Kate Update, School & Buddy Walk

Kate had her one month well baby check on Monday.  We were dying to find out how much she weighs now, because to us she just looks like she's getting so big.  She weighed in at 8 lbs 7 oz.  When she was born she weighed 5 lbs 12 oz so she's gained almost 3 pounds in 5 weeks.  She's gone from 19 inches at birth to 21 inches long.  She's still eating about every hour and half to two hours and she's not sleeping through the night yet.  So I'm basically like a zombie right now.  She's spoiled rotten and needs to be help all the time, which I honestly don't mind doing while we're at home.  But when we're at the store and I'm trying to get work done it's a little frustrating.  But she's still the sweetest baby girl around.

The boys started school a couple weeks ago.  Gabe is going 3 days a week now; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  He's in the Grasshoppers class.  Alot of his friends from last year are in his class and he's so excited about that!  He's really doing great and he's learning lots of sign language which makes me happy.  He's got two great teachers.  Ryan is still going 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.  He's in the Tiny Turtles class again this year.  He won't be 3 until October and the cut off for the three year old class was September 1st.  I wasn't too upset because the 3 year olds have to be potty trained and my little Ryan just isn't interested in the potty yet.  We really need to work on that.  He wasn't as thrilled about school as I thought he'd be.  He's adapted a lot more quickly this year than he did last year though.  I think he just loves all the attention he gets from his teacher though. She just loves on him so much I think he's just eating it up.  I'm so happy that the boys are back into a routine and learning new things.  It's such a great school and I must admit that I miss teaching there so much.
Last weekend was the Buddy Walk for the Down Syndrome Association.  It's a yearly event for us.  We always go out to support Kylie.  It was at the Bricktown Ballpark again this and it was lots of fun.  We tried to get the boys picture with the OU cheerleaders, but Ryan was shy and just wouldn't cooperate.

A new layout and an update

I can't believe it has taken me almost a month to update. But here it goes. Kate Olivia was born on August 19th. After 14 hours of labor she finally decided to make her debut. It was a long wait, but well worth it. I carried her the longest (37 weeks) and she was the smallest of all three of my kids. She weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz and was 19 inches long. She looks just like Gabe. She will be a month old on Friday. She is the sweetest little girl and we are enjoying her so much! The boys adore her and are so sweet to her. She's already got her daddy wrapped around her little finger. And I've enjoyed having another girl in the house. It's so nice dressing someone in bows, dresses and anything pink. We had a mini photo shoot this morning, here are just a few of the pictures we took. I'll post more pictures later...

Baby Kate is on her way!!

You read it right, Baby Kate will most likely be here in the morning! Last Thursday I started feeling pretty yucky so Friday morning I went into the doctor. I wasn't able to see my doctor I had to see the PA whom I've never met before. Let's just say I wasn't too terribly impressed. She hadn't even opened my chart and knew nothing about my history of pre-eclampsia. My blood pressure was high 130/90 and she told me just to go home and rest. I had a prescheduled appointment on Monday so I went ahead and went home and rested all weekend. I started feeling better, but would still get headaches every now and then over the weekend. So I came into my appointment this morning. I knew something was up when the nurse took my blood pressure twice. She took it one time and then said, "Ok I'm going to try that again." It was 136/100. So we did an ultrasound to check on the baby. She looked good and they sent me over to the hospital for observation. We've been here since about 12:30. They've been monitoring me all day and strangely enough about an hour after I got here I started having some pretty strong contractions. They decided they were going to keep me overnight for observations. At about 9:00 p.m. the doctor came in to check me and I'm actually dialated to a 3 already. So she decided to just go ahead and induce. They are going to start the pitocin at about 10:30. Matt was going to stay home with the boys tonight, but the doctor suggested he stay just in case the labor goes quickly. Since it's my third she thinks we might have a baby by early tomorrow morning. We're very excited (and a little nervous). The boys can't wait to meet Baby Kate. So I'm just sitting here waiting. I better go try to rest while I can. We'll post pictures as soon as we can!
