Last Easter Post

Ok, let's get these Easter posts out of the way! I feel like I've been blogging about Easter for weeks!

On Easter morning we went to church with Matt's family. Had a good time spending time with his sister and his mom and dad. After church we headed up to my Aunt Denise's house to have lunch with my mom's side of the family. Fletcher was able to come home for Easter so it was good being able to spend time with the whole family! After lunch we went over to my parent's house for dinner with my grandparents. We also celebrated my dad's birthday. The day was full of Easter egg hunts, good food and family!

Now here are all the pictures!!

Easter Emergency!

After our scavenger hunt on Easter morning I started to get everyone dressed in their cute clothes. I was very excited about my brand new Easter dress. I put it on and walked out of the bedroom when Matt pointed down to the bottom of my dress. The people at the store had forgotten to take the big fat security tag off of my dress!! My heart just sank! Sadly, I changed into another dress. I continued on with my morning, I was getting the kids ready when I heard the sound of a drill coming from my bedroom. I went into my bedroom and found this...

My wonderful husband had googled how to remove a security tag and was attempting to get this tag off of my dress. He is the greatest! He did get the tag off and I was able to wear the dress I wanted to on Easter!!
This is the aftermath left behind from the tag removal

Easter Basket Scavenger Hunt

On Easter morning the kids always go on a scavenger hunt to find their Easter baskets. I take pictures of different spots around the house and the kids have to follow the clues to find their baskets. They always have such a good time doing this. It's so much fun to watch. Kate didn't really know what was going on but once she found her basket she was so excited! Kate got a few coloring books in her basket. She's really into coloring and writing right now.

Gabe got Family Game Night for his DS. It's a pretty fun game!

Ryan got Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakuel. That movie makes him laugh so much!

Coloring Easter Eggs

We had a pretty busy day the day before Easter. So we had to squeeze coloring Easter eggs into our day. But we got it done and the eggs turned out great! Here are just a few pictures.

Ryan's 1st Goal!

Ryan scored his first goal the other day! It was such a big deal because he was the only kid on the team who hadn't scored a goal yet. He runs up and down the field and keeps up with everyone but anytime the ball comes near him he slows down and lets someone else take the ball. So the other day when the ball was directly in front of him we were so proud when he actually took the ball in to score. Everyone on the sidelines cheered so loudly for him! I was such a proud mama!!

Look at this cute Easter shirt I made Kate. Isn't it the cutest?

Meow

This is video of Kate saying meow. She cracks me up when she does this! She's way into making animal noises now and the cat is her favorite!

Such a Sweet Big Brother

I went into the bathroom the other day to find Gabe brushing Kate's hair for her. This was so sweet. Gabe has always been such a great big brother to Kate. He watches out for her all the time. Anytime she needs help getting a snack or a cup he's always there to help. She has recently figured out that if the front door doesn't latch she can escape. One day she wiggled her way out onto the front porch and before I could even get up to get her Gabe had picked her up and carried her back inside. He loves playing with her too. He'll get on the floor and chase her around just make her laugh so hard! I really hope they remain this close for the rest of their lives.

Gabe's 1st Soccer Game

Gabe had a great first soccer game. He scored 2 goals within the first five minutes! He got out there and went after the ball. He ran and ran and kept on running! That kid is full of energy. Before the game we told the kids we would give them a dollar if they scored a goal. During Gabe's second game he scored another goal and from the field he yelled out to me, "Now you owe me three dollars!!!" He is so funny!

A Cold Day for Soccer

The boys first soccer games were on one of the coldest and windiest days of the year. And to make matters worse they had to play two games because the week before the games had been cancelled due to the "blizzard". It was cold, but they both got out there and played their little hearts out. Ryan was a little shy to start out. It was like he didn't want the soccer ball to touch him at all. But after a while he got into it and he really started getting after that ball!

Another Snow Day?

We were supposed to have another "blizzard" at the end of March. It ended up being more of a dusting of snow. But it gave the kids one more chance to play in some snow before spring set in.

Kate giving me "the look" because I wouldn't let her go out in the snow.

I Got A New Toy!

I've wanted this camera for so long and I finally got it! It's going to take me while to learn how to use it to it's full potential, but I'm so excited to learn!
