Bowling

We've been doing so much fun stuff this summer! The other day we went bowling with some friends. Moore AMF has a program where kids can bowl free all summer. It's an awesome deal and the kids always have a great time. If you're interested you can sign up here.

Cutest Bloomers Ever!

I found these cute bloomers by Three Yellow Starfish on Etsy. Yes, I do love Etsy! I tried to take the kids out and do a photo shoot one day, but it was just too hot and too bright out by the time we got around to it. I couldn't see anyones eyes because they were squinting in the bright sun! None of my pictures turned out, but I just had to show off these bloomers! Hopefully I'll be able to take them out again one day and get some good pictures. I did manage to get this picture of the boys that I thought was cute.

A Day at the Splash Park

The kids love the splash park! They had a fun time playing in the water on this hot day! This was Kate's first trip back to a splash park this year. I took her last year when she was a baby and she loved it, but I wasn't sure what she would think of all the spraying water this year. I should've known she would love it! She had her face right up in the spouts and was running under all the water. She was running all over the place! She really liked sitting on the water spouts. It was pretty funny to watch her squat over those spouts and wait for the water to spray! Ryan on the other hand just runs around the perimeter so that he doesn't get under any of the big buckets of water. Every now and then he'd get brave and run under a bucket. Gabe had fun, but some other kids had water guns and water balloons and he really wanted some. So next time we'll have to come with supplies to keep him entertained longer!

Pictures

Matt got the boys these sunglasses the other day and they thought they were so cool! They wanted to go outside and take pictures. They were doing these silly poses and they were cracking me up!

Kate loves popsicles! She thought it was pretty funny when she had it all over her face!

Aunt E's Home!

Matt's sister, Erica, moved to San Antonio last year. She came into town over Memorial Day weekend and we got to spend time with both her and her husband, Byron. The kids absolutely love Aunt E and were so excited to get to see her and spend time with her. The whole family was there, minus Whitney who was in Africa on a missions trip. We had a good time watching the kids play in the backyard. We sure do miss Erica, but we were happy we got to spend some time with her while she was in town!

Summer Sun

My kids love, Love, LOVE playing in the sprinkler! Kate especially loves the water! It's so funny to watch because both Gabe and Ryan hated sprinklers, showers, anything where water was dripping on your head. But Kate is just fascinated with it! We really have to watch her because anytime there is a sprinkler on she will automatically go running through it. If we take a walk around our neighborhood she will go into random people's yard to run through their sprinkler!

New Summer Dress

I made this cute little dress for Kate for summer. Just wanted to share. Her cute bow was made by my friend Stephanie at Foxie Loxie.

Touch A Truck Night

One night we went to Chick-Fil-A's Touch a Truck night. It's a night where they have a bunch of different trucks that the kids can climb on and explore. They had all sorts of things: a big semi, a couple fire trucks, an ambulance, and some motorcycles. I took Gabe and Kate and Ryan stayed home with Matt because he was sick that night. Gabe got to honk the horn in the semi and turn on the siren on the police motorcycle. He loved it! It was lots of fun and we will definitely do it again!

Super Kids Day 2010

Gabe's school had Super Kids Day on the last day of school. This is a just a day where the kids get to spend all day outside playing a bunch of carnival-like games. Gabe had a lot of fun. His friend Brayden stayed with us most of the time doing all the games with Gabe. The first game they played was a pillow fight. You had to try to push your opponent out of the ring with these big pillows. It was pretty funny to watch since both Gabe and Brayden are pretty skinny boys and they couldn't really move each other very far. Finally after a few minutes they got moving around and Gabe actually won! I was so shocked! Some of the other games they played were the Monkey Hang where they see who can hang on the monkey bars the longest. They had a basketball shoot, a crutch race where they raced while walking with crutches, tether ball, tire roll and lots more. There was one game that was just a mat on the ground the kids would just wrestle for a certain amount of time. As you can imagine that game got a little of control with some kids! After the boys played their games they got to have a sno-cone. I think Gabe enjoyed that the most! It was a nice end to a very hot day!

Rainbow

One night after a pretty ugly storm passed by I took this picture. Just thought it was pretty so I decided to share.

Gabe's Awards Ceremony

I was so proud of Gabe at his awards ceremony at school. He got loads of awards. He got an award for reading 100 books, one for being an ABC Champ, and a few others. He's such a smart boy and I expect this to be just the beginning of all his achievements.
